The Darling Buds Classic Car Show Sunday 8th July, 2012 10.00 am to 4.00 pm at Buss Farm, which can be found just off the Pluckley Road in Bethersden, near Ashford in the heart of Kent. All pre-1980 makes and models of classic cars, their owners, enthusiasts and members of the public are cordially invited to a “perfick” family day out with a warm, friendly atmosphere. The venue has ample public car parking and gates open at 9.00 am. This exclusive location was used in the making of Yorkshire Television`s well-known series “The Darling Buds of May” and is the only time that the farm is open to the public. This year`s show will include Pop Larkin`s yellow Rolls Royce, Woodchurch Morris Men, classic prams, childrens` rides, live music, autojumble and craft stalls, food for all tastes, a visit by the Kent Air Ambulance helicopter (operational circumstances permitting), plus a licenced bar. Throughout the day there will be arena displays of exhibitors` vehicles, with a live commentary.Exhibitors` entry fee is just £3.00 for pre-booked classic cars or £10.00 on the day. More information and an entry form is available on our website. Public admission is £12.00 per. car. This includes show entry for all occupants and parking. Thank you for your support. Details
We take in the vast emptiness of the Sahara, followed by the jungle trails of Cameroon, Gabon and The Congo, then drive the length of Angola, to emerge in the arid desert coast of northern Namibia Not without reason do they call this the Skeleton Coast, and then we storm the Cederberg Mountains as a sting in the tail before a prize-giving celebration for the survivors in Cape Town The roads are on the Michelin maps but this can be deceptive it wont be easy Overland motorcylists ride this route and its even been tackled by bicycle, all the way Now we plan to turn it into a rally-route, with the discipline of the clock ticking every day
